Louis Chiron in the Bugatti Type 51 and Luigi Fagioli in the Maserati 8C 2500 had a tremendous battle at the Monaco Grand Prix of 1931. Chiron went on to eventual victory at a speed of 55mph, covering the 197 miles in 3h 39m 9s.
